"My badminton racket"

My artifact is “badminton racket”. This is the special one for me. I started playing badminton when I was junior high school student. My parents give me the racket, that is my first racket for me. I was practicing so hard by using it carefully. I lose a lot of game. However, I won a lot of game. I became strong with my first racket. I entered prefectural tournament for the first time when I was third year of junior high school student. So, this is the last tournament in junior high school. In the tournament, I ranked third in Niigata prefecture with teammates. When I ranked in third, I use the racket. So, my first racket has many important memories.

When I was first year of high school student, the tragedy was happened. My first racket broken during practicing. When I was practicing doubles with my pair, I and my pair tried to shoot same shuttle. Then, my racket bumped into pair’s racket. My racket had broken, a big crack has appeared. That happening is hell for me. The frame has been distorted like a potato chips.

However, pair’s racket hadn’t broken. When my racket bumped into pair of racket,

“Sorry.” I said, and

“Sorry too.” My pair said.

Immediately after breaking my racket, I feel sad a little. However, I went on sad as time went on. This happening was good opportunity to buy new racket and practice harder.

From this story, I think that Japanese has culture that heart of caring for others and take care of things. Because when my racket bumped into pair’s racket, apologized to each other without complaint.

Not only badminton rackets but also almost consumables are fragile. This is not good for environment. We need use one product in long term for saving our environment.
